Shows who is in your current shard

Right now Skynet will show logoffs and logins on your shard. Would you be willing to help us change whatever is needed serverside so it's global across all shards ?

Send something similar to the world_info message? Like a player_info message that contains the player list that the plugin will ping and then diff against. Not ideal really :/

The issue is this would require a special server plugin specifically for this mod and I don't know if that's something they want to do. If it gets the OK from @Maxopoly I can whip something up but otherwise we need to find another solution

I dont want to modify this mod in such a way that it works with sharding, I want to do whatever is needed serverside to prevent any kind of mod from knowing who is in your current shard. Skynet pulls from some minecraft internal list to know who is currently online in your server and we just need to find where that is sent and what's the best way to spoof all other players in there as well

ok ill look into the mc source for the network handler and see what i can find. if i write a fix for it what plugin should that go into?

@Maxopoly That make's sense, you don't want to necessarily prevent people knowing that someone has logged in, but you do want to prevent them knowing when they enter a certain shard.

Skynet pulls players directly from the connection, so it would be difficult to spoof it without causing nasty side effects.

How about you prevent the server sending the player connection until they are within a certain radius (i.e render distance) of another player?

No shouldnt do any weird stuff, you can just cancel PLAYER_INFO remove packets if the player is still online and send them across shards with mercury
