Main knob doesn't track properly

I built a MKII about 8 years ago and it has worked fine until recently.

The main knob locks the loop when full CW, then becomes fully random at around 3 O'clock then locks into double length at around 12 then stays the same all the way CCW... Otherwise it seems to work as expected.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
