Trouble calibrating and TM full when locked

Hey Tom and everybody, I just bought a TM full DIY kit + Expanders off of Thonk, I assembled it just now and im encountering two problems:

1. First one is at calibrating, when I have the main knob fully CW sometimes it doesn't sound at all, I have to move it to 12:00 and back to get some sound (sometimes it just doest emit sound) even though this issue is persisting I managed to get the steady tone required for the calibration.
2. My second issue and I think the biggest one is that when I get a random sequence and lock it, after a few seconds the sequence just fills itself and I get a full sequence, I have to turn the knob to 12:00 and lock it again.
   It does this not in a regular interval but at random.
