The player was working great and then today it says, "We couldn't load that track :(".

I'm experiencing this in multiple browsers and on the player on your own site.

I apologize for not being in contact earlier. We recently received notice from SoundCloud that they're shutting down their external streaming API for business reasons that I won't speculate about.

Every user of a custom SoundCloud player, ours included, will need to switch to their embedded player in order to stream songs from SoundCloud.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience it's caused the users of our player. I'll leave this repo up and add this message to the top of the README so that others become aware of the situation.

Are you sure it's shut down? Others have had luck with the API. I haven't seen any announcements. Are you able to share your correspondence? Thanks.

I am having same issue. Is there a workaround or a solution to this? Souncloud players suck the most.

I've gone through and gotten the SoundCloud consumer key. Everything works fine for me. My only issue is when setting up the player ToneDen.player.create({}). e.g. if I set mini: true then the player still displays download link, number of plays & likes, profile hyperlink, How do I get the player to show as it is on https://apedrums.toneden.io/onesheet

Is there a quicker way to acquire the SouncCloud consumer key? It says it's going to take a month before my app is approved. I don't have a month :-(
