Daisy chaining VPN with Tracker control

I know that this was previously brought up, but its unclear where the conversation has stopped or concluded.

Is there anyway to chain TrackerControl with a vpn app like ProtonVPN?
The problem with VPN providers like Proton, is that you can't define a hostfile so its not possible to fine tune what the apps can and can't do on Android.

I hate having to switch back and forth between tunneling and using trackercontrol.

It would be very helpful and useful to have TrackerControl filter and tell the user what is the app doing and tunnel the traffic through the vpn provider.

I do understand that android only allows one vpn profile at a time, but is there any other way to chain the TC and VPN app at the same time?

for this to work someone would need to add the whole vpn back-end for a given provider like wireguard. this would be a very useful function to have as it would give precise app based control and safe uplink to the vpn endpoint.
