The renderer has been rewritten from scratch. It now supports z-buffered sprite clipping, tall sprites correctly appearing behind short, far walls, directional mid-textures and counter support, short near and far wall support where you can see the top of them. plus a host of efficiency improvements.
This is the final release of the open-source branch. If I spin up a new open-source edition in the future, it’ll live in a separate repository. For now, active development is focused on the closed-source engine.
