The line
unix:INCLUDEPATH += /usr/include/libxml2/
in 
plugins/osmimporter/osmimporter.pro 
fixes it, but I'm not absolutely sure that's the right thing. Nobody has 
reported this before, but the libxml2 headers always seem to be in 
/usr/include/libxml2/libxml/
