ANDDEAR-MT7612U

Hi...new person here...hope someone can point me in right direction. I have a ANDDEAR-MT7612U that I'm trying to install on my WlanPi R4 on Raspberry Pi4.
I tried https://github.com/openwrt/mt76.git repository but find that mt76x2u module is missing which I believe is what I need. Is there another repository I could try or something that I'm missing. Thanks.

What version of WLAN Pi OS are you running? This adapter should work out of the box as it uses mt7662u and mt7662u_rom_patch which are provided in /lib/firmware/mediatek. Have you tried a different USB port?

I did try bottom usb3 port and usb2 ports no difference.

It should be using mt76x0u:

Is it being recognized? Plug it in and run lsmod | grep mt76 and dmesg | grep mt76.

Thanks very much...it looks like driver is loaded and working now. Display on WlanPi R4 also shows under WLAN interfaces :
Interface :wlan0
Driver : mt76x0u
Addr : 0013etc
Mode : Managed
But now another question if I may : I am trying to make wi-fi connection using sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces
Guidelines tell me I must uncomment wpa-conf line on wlan0 but I don't have wpa-conf line there...only on wlan1 configuration.
And my configuation as from above shows my wi-fi dongle is set as wlan0. Should I add the wpa-conf line to wlan0 configuration?

Ok I added wpa-conf line to the wlan0 configuration and it is working now. Thanks for the guidance anyway.
