weird cursor behavior with kodi

I use Kodi (with gbm/wayland support) for live tv/media, its python based and uses its own cursors. When I open it both cursors are visible, I have to open another window and refocus kodi before the wlroots/wayfire cursor will disappear like intended. https://streamable.com/sq51hp shows it way easier.

When I open kodi in sway no wlroots cursor just kodi's. Is this something worth opening a bug report over?
