App Frequently Crashing on Windows 10

Hey Guys -

LOVE Grid Control - much better than CAM. I had it installed on my Windows 10 x64 system and had it set to launch at startup. When recently noticing that the app wasn't running, I wrote a script to launch it if it's process wasn't present which I started yesterday. Logging into my PC today, I saw that GRID Control had crashed then restarted (due to script) ~20 times in the past ~12 hours.

I looked through Event Logs and saw two events per crash. Details are below, but they seem to be due to Qt5Gui.dll. Is there a known fix or workaround for this or will the app be updated due to this? Details below. Thanks!!

Hi, thanks for the problem report, looks like a QT problem. Not sure what could be causing this, has the application been stable for a long time before? Do you know is something was changed in your system recently, e.g. windows update or similar?

Anyway, I can make a new release of Grid Control based on PyQT 5.10 (the current version uses 5.9), let's see if that fixes the problem. Stay tuned for a new version shortly :-)

Hi @BzowK , I made a new release of Grid Control based on PyQt 5.10.1, please check if this resolves the issue. See Grid Control 1.0.9 in releases.

Sorry for the late reply - been out of town. Thanks so much! I just installed 1.0.9 and am trying it out now. I had written and compiled a script which would detect it crashing and restart it but found it was doing so sometimes dozens of times daily when the PC was at idle so hopefully it won't be needed anymore.
