'Match start in 3 minutes' ..

I am testing ArenaSpleef and find this behaviour quite odd. When I am the first one to join the spleef queue with '/spleef join' the following message gets displayed:

This is a bit odd as the match obviously won't start in 3 minutes as nobody else is in the queue. If, however, somebody joins the queue it will start.

Also where is the 3 minutes configurable? Maybe I am wrong but when I first installed ArenaSpleef it seemed to start when only 2 people had signed up .. there was no countdown of 3 minutes. I haven't changed any number values in the config nor feel like I have changed anything that affects it.

And .. it seems that most support/reporting is happening in the Bukkit comments. Where do you prefer to get questions, receive bug reports etc?

The 3 minutes is inside. BattleArena/config.yml. defaultOptions.matchForcesStartTime

I'm trying to make this as intuitive as I can... but I can't seem to make something that is easy to understand for everyone (yet). (so if you have ideas let me know)

What it's supposed to do is this.
Unless there is a fixed number of players needed (like nTeams:2 teamSize: 3 for 6 players), then there is automatically a time to start the match.

So if you have nTeams: 2, and teamSize: 2-5, it should only start if 10 players join, or at least 4 have joined after a certain amount of time.

What would you like it to say/do... I want this to be very clean and configurable for everyone.

Yes, I understand. That part is quite easy to understand .. and frankly not something the user needs to understand at all - which is good.

From the users perspective though, it's a problem when it's reporting something which isn't true - in this case that the match will start in 3 minutes.

Isn't this a bug?

Anyway, I imagine the use-case like this:
Actors:
Player1
Player2
Player3
Plugin

Settings:
nTeams: 2+
teamSize: 1+

Flow

1. Player1 does '/spleef join'.
2. Plugin tells Player1, 'You joined the Spleef queue. Position 1/inf | Match will start when there's enough players'.
3. Plugin waits for Player2.
4. Player2 does '/spleef join'.
5. Plugin starts countdown. EDIT
6. Plugin tells Player2, 'You joined the Spleef queue. Position 2/inf | Match will start in defaultOptions.matchForcesStartTime'.
7. Plugin tells Player1, 'Spleef match will start in defaultOptions.matchForcesStartTime'
8. Player3 does '/spleef join'.
9. Plugin tells Player3, 'You joined the Spleef queue. Position 3/inf | Match will start in remaining of start time'
10. More players sign up, game starts etc etc ..
