How to forward ssh credentials from macOS to container?

With the addition of --ssh it should be possible to forward ssh credentials from my macOS host to my Alpine Linux container. Up to now, I've created a key-pair in the container and added the public key to GitHub manually, so I can clone my private repo. The macOS host is also setup with a different key-pair. This works, but is a bit fiddly.

I can't seem to find Apple container specific documentation on forwarding ssh to the linux container. What are the steps to make this work?

I found my problem... I needed to ssh-add my private key to the macOS ssh-agent. Then creating an image with container run --ssh just works.
