Alternative to the dropped use_clipboard option

According to the changelog -P/--clip/use_clipboard option has been dropped in mlterm 3.9.4. Is there now any alternative?

Press Shift+Control+c shortcut key explicitly to copy selected text to the clipboard.
It is changeable by configuring ~/.mlterm/key as follows.
Alt+Shift+c=COPY_CLIPBOARD

Before 3.9.4. it was possible to select text and the selection was copied to clipboard WITHOUT pressing any keyboard shortcut automatically if use_clipboard option is set to true. Since 3.9.4 this option is gone and as I understood there's no way to keep the old behavior. Correct me if I'm wrong.
