Not working on Oculus Rift S with either runtime #12

Hi artum! Thanks for the great software to fix the problem with half res in SBS! Other people seem to love it, but I'm having some issues on my end.

You suggested that I download the pre-release with better logging so here's the results of that. Figured it would probably be better to have a formal report.

You said you got it working on Oculus OVR runtime 1.75 so I joined the public beta to upgrade from 1.74 to 1.75.

  • Using Ori Will of the Wisps because I've already tested it with Helixvision/Katanga
  • Put Geo-11 files in Ori folder and make sure the ini direct mode is Katanga_vr
Running VRScreenCap v0.2.1 for better logging
    SteamVR 1.22.13 (latest non-beta)
    Oculus OVR runtime 1.75
GTX 1080 with latest drivers (516.59)
    Windows 10 21H1

Steps

  1. Set OpenXR runtime to either SteamVR or Oculus
  2. Verify Geo-11 is set to "katanga_vr" direct mode
  3. Launch Ori which opens in TAB mode no issue
  4. Launch VRScreenCap
  5. VRScreenCap shows up in Sys Tray but nothing appears in headset
  6. Try to close and reopen VRScreenCap (also ran as admin to try)

Oculus runtime set as default

  • Nothing happened

SteamVR runtime set as default

  • Nothing happened
  • Verified desktop theater was turned off

Outputs attached.
Looks like they are both stopping at:
"INFO - Requested device extensions: ["VK_KHR_swapchain", "VK_KHR_external_memory_win32"]"

I'm pretty sure that Rift S has vulkan swapchain support (unlike HP ;) ).

Look forward to hearing from you, thanks!
