Description
There is no oculus software installed on the PC. Virtual desktop is used on the quest and host PC.
Testing done with host PC wired, wifi6 but 5 should work fine if total devices connected isn't too high.
Quest 2 set to 120hz
Virtual desktop on PC settings for video (controls at default or how you like)
Video bitrate 150Mbps (CBR) with buffering disabled also set to 120hz. Space warp disabled, either codec is fine if your CPU or GPU is high enough end. I used a 5800x with 32 gigs of DDR4 4000mhz CL14-14-14-28 1T, and an 3080ti FTW3 Ultra 2200mhz core locked 22Gbps mem @ 430 watts peak.
I also disabled steamvr's dynamic super sampling and picked a set resolution. If you have issues getting things to line up properly make sure you try adjusting the virtual desktop screen curve to 100% and move the secret further away and see if you can line it up.
Might help some users having issues. I've gotten many games to work that didn't before. I just happened to restore a clean image but didn't install oculus software then I ran virtual desktop as normal forgetting I didn't install oculus home or whatever it's called now lol.
Everything just felt faster, games that showed nothing or crashed now worked. Then I installed the software and retested the games and they went back to not working even with a wired connection.
