When drop-down is open, application cannot be switched out of

Describe the bug
When a drop-down menu is open, Rayforge locks focus and will not let you switch to another application by pressing Alt+Tab.
This applies to top bar menus (excluding "Machine", related #85) as well as menus such as the machine selection (top right of the application).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

• Open Rayforge
• Have a drop down menu/selector open
• Attempt to Alt-Tab to another application
• Observe as no application switching occurs

Expected behavior
Rayforge would permit application switching no matter the state of the application or menus

Versions:
0.26.post56+git.5c44bb97 on LMDE 6 (6.1.0-32-amd64) with Cinnamon 6.4.8

I am afraid this is an Adw problem that cannot be solved in Rayforge. I created a test app:

menuapp.py

And it displays the same behavior.
