For those who use the CYD units 'upside down' with the cable connector and dial oriented below the screen, and with the latest code updates now changed so that some units can control screen brightness when the dial is turned on the 'about screen', try setting

The ability to rotate the screen is described in the Wiki.
Unfortunately it was removed in the commit of December 14, 2024

To reinstate this functionality, you can add
next_layout(delta);
At the beginning of the AboutScene::onEncoder function in the AboutScene.cpp file (after line 52)

Ok, what worked was @banana-legs solution, but it's now at a different location:

@guillaume-rico or @bdring is there a simple method to remove the OSD buttons and reclaim that space? Ideally it’d be great if there was a firmware version for physical buttons that does something useful with the reclaimed space.
