Not to hijack this issue but I had the same problem with no icons. I was building for the cyd_resistive environment. I was trying to find the Platform->Upload Filesystem Image tree item for this environment but it wasn't there. The m5dial did have it so I started playing around and found that the only way to get it was to add this line to the PlatfromIO.ini file. I'm not sure why it doesn't carry over from the cyd_base environment. I'm assuming this would be needed for all of the other CYD environment configs as well.
