can i get Date object back from the picker?

is it possible to retrieve a date object rather than getting a string from the date picker?

if not that, atleast is it possible to get individual day, month and year fields in different variables from the picker so i can make a date object myself?

please help!!

alright thanks, and any idea why the small calendar icon on the right side
of the box, doesnt show up on all browsers

For this i use font awsome and i think it Works for most of the browser.
Maybe They drop the support for ie6.
What browser doesn t show the icon?

i am using chrome, icon is visible, but for my colleague using chrome the
icon isn't visible

only i can see this icon, i dunno what is the issue but i think it needs to

Regarding icon visibility, certain chrome plugins can interfere with font awesome. Could you ask your friend to try with his plugins disabled? Perhaps also try in incognito mode (it disables plugins, unless you specify you want them).
