Concatenation of daily MODIS clipped files over continent takes a long time

Concatenation of clipped MODIS files over North America using Xarray takes a long time. For WY2011, just the concatenation part was more than 11 hours. Seek alternatives to improve this workflow.

Suggested to use xarray.open_mfdataset() :

But this may not work directly because we are also reading time string from file, adding this is ds and finally concatenating along time dimension. But worth checking if date (string) is inside the data itself
