Not working with latest pytorch?

1) first, installed python 3.6 as instructed and ran into problem with code using xrange in get_init_Elt_state(), how could this work with python 3?
2) then ran into problems of passing floats into torch.randn() in get_init_Elt_tensor()
3) then ran into "IndexError: invalid index of a 0-dim tensor." in line 220 of test()

*** gave up ***

Am I doing something wrong?
