restore from backup supported?

Hi!

I just took a glance at your "backuptests"
but I could not see whether a restore was also supported.

Is that the case?

And: is a "backup" the same as "sqlite dump"?
If not - what are the differences?

The backup api wraps the SQLite online backup api: https://www.sqlite.org/backup.html

SQLite databases are a simply file, so to restore from a backup you would close existing db connections, rename the backup file to your desired filename, and open the db associated with the renamed file.
