Change name of our main branch

Chaos and I are in favour of changing the name of our 'master' Git branch to something more neutral.

I use 'trunk' at work, and Chaos uses 'mainline'.

Neither of us feels too strongly about what we choose, as long as it is acceptable to all.

The transition will require a change to a number of scripts, so we want to do it once only.

Does anyone else have any opinions on this matter before we go ahead with the change in branch name?

My admittedly vague impression is that main is the new standard, and the default name for the default branch at GitHub, so I'd vote for that.
