Hi @cgueret . I really liked the idea behind your app. Some time ago I started an app with the same goal, that is, focused on writing, inspired by Scriviner. Unfortunately, I had to stop development because of a bug between Gtk.ListView and Gtk.TextView that made it very difficult to use. Unlike your approach, my idea for the layout was more minimalist, with everything concentrated in the text editor and things like characters, locations and objects being connected to the text itself instead of a menu. I'll leave the link to the incomplete project here in case you're curious. Inside the data directory there is a directory with more screenshots. https://gitlab.com/kriptolix/exilium That said, I'd like to contribute to your app. I've looked at some of the open issues, but I think you'll have to be a little more specific about what needs to be done in them. I thought I'd start with issue #26. |

Hi @kriptolix ! Thanks for reaching out and for being keen to help :-) I just had a quick look at your work and it seems we share some ideas even if the layout is slightly different. For Scriptorium I approached the problem in a way similar to Control Center, the settings app of Gnome: consider the manuscript as a global system with several parameters to tweak across different facets. So that breaks a bit from your layout and that of the majority of book editing software out there... :-p About #26 I'm on it and it's almost done already, I think. But I'll do call for help if I get stuck on it. Lastly, let me know if you would like to join our channel on Matrix. I could send you an invite. Thanks again for the message! Looking forward to developing Scriptorium with you |
