Description

Mr. Tennen:
We represent Docker, Inc. of San Francisco, California in legal matters. I regret that we must ask you to cease using the name “Docker” for this code and choose a name that is not similar to Docker. Docker is a registered trademark of Docker, Inc. Unfortunately, the law requires Docker to actively contact others who are using similar names in the software field, and Docker does not permit others to use the trademark in a way that could be misleading to the public or reduce the distinctiveness of the Docker brand in the market. We this requirement to protect the public from confusion about the source and protect the distinctiveness of Docker mark. We regret that the difficult state of law requires us to pursue this request. An example of an acceptable name might be DoubleDock. Best wishes for success.
