Is there an existing issue reported already?

  • I have searched the existing issues, it does not exist.

What is the unexpected behavior?

I'm using Dash to Panel with the panel monitor position set to Left. In this configuration, text is not rendered correctly.

It seems like text is drawn on top of old text, which makes it partially unreadable. This happens with both the Use fixed widths" option is enabled and disabled. (Disabling the option just has the additional effect that icons start jumping around, even though they really shouldn't.)

The issue disappears briefly (until the next update) when hovering the panel icon group or taking a screenshot. This makes it difficult to analyze the issue, because it can't be screenshot. Here's an OBS recording:

Steps to reproduce the unexpected behavior.

  1. Install both Dash To Panel and Vitals.
  2. Configure Dash To Panel to position it on the left or right monitor side.
  3. Set the update frequency of Vitals to 1 second to make the issues appear more quickly.
  4. Text should now be rendered incorrectly every now and again as described above.
