Heartbeat Server-To-Client #8
Description
HeartBeat is a WordPress API that is shipped with WordPress and (only recently cleared as stable... go figure) that enables server-to-client-like communication by using frequent automatic AJAX requests. It isn't instantaneous like a chat window but it is darn-good enough for what DDS will ever need and it is supported by WordPress... and there are a ton of reasons why this is the solution we should use for Server-To-Client but I'm not going to explain here, ask me in person.
