Django Admin FileField and ImageField not patched.

I've followed the installation instructions and the admin panel runs without exceptions, yet the admin panel Image and FileFields do not seem to be patched. The admin interface remains the same. Is there anything else that must be done beyond the installation instructions to get this functionality working? How can I go about debugging this issue?

Are there any js errors?
If you look at the html of the page do the file fields have a class of "directupload" ? They should also have an attribute "data-upload-to".

There are no js errors and the page file fields do have the class directupload. They laso have the attribute "data-upload-to". Now I'm running this on the development server. I'm assuming that won't have any affect?

Also after adding directupload image and filefields will no longer upload files. They give a "This field is required." validation error even when an image has been selected.

So the theory behind how this works is the javascript places a hidden input pointing to where the file is and the patch_admin function ensures that the admin uses a file widget that will look for that input. So either the js is failing to populate the hidden field or the patch_admin function isn't doing it's job (it could be a regression against Django 1.4, we use directupload with Django 1.3.1).

I'm not sure if issue #3 is related to this - but I found that the fields didn't activate when they were included inline, because the file fields were added after the JS to activate them was run.

Make sure that

make_file_fields_dynamic($, '.directupload', "{% url directupload-options %}", "{% url directupload-determine-name %}");

appears in your admin header, after the file is loaded and the document is ready, and that the function is called (for the right selector) when new file upload fields are added dynamically through javascript, if that is happening.

I have the same problem. Input classes contain a "directupload" class. But form not changed and form did not save files after uploading.
And nothing js errors around there.

Then I`m placed this {% load directupload_tags %}{% directupload_head %} after this {% block breadcrumbs %} - I got my error:
after 1.3 version of django ( https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/releases/1.5/ ) you need to use such quotes:
make_file_fields_dynamic($, '.directupload', '{% url "directupload-options" %}', '{% url "directupload-determine-name" %}')
So I replace it and now look like it works.
