Description

1. Only the same two social media icons are displayed: Youtube and Wikipedia.
2. Links point back to the member's profile page.

I'll hold off deploying the latest version to production.

After reviewing the code, I'm unable to see why YouTube and Wikipedia icons are being displayed by default for all members. And when fixed to be shown conditionally when URLs do exist, I can't tell if the icons will link out to those URLs or to the profile page as they do now.

On the topic of socials, here are a couple of things I can easily change if you feel they're useful:

1. For accessibility, each icon's link can have an ARIA label added such as aria-label="Visit Facebook.com page", aria-label="Visit X.com profile", etc. Quick change but maybe a further discussion could be had about accessibility in 2026.
2. Change Twitter icon to X.

On the new cloned site (not test/staging), I made changes for these items so you can review them in a profile like this. For the ARIA label, Facebook will be read "link, Visit Facebook.com page" while the others will be "link, Data from Artsdata.ca sourced from artsdata.ca" because they draw from the title.

This issue was discussed at a working meeting today. Here are minutes:

The Artsdata database has dedicated properties for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. This is why these properties are displayed in the directory. However, it doesn’t have dedicated Youtube and Wikipedia properties.

Decisions:

• We will delete these two properties for now in the Shortcode plugin
• Gregory will work on a solution so they can be added back in the next release.

Updated the icon and used newer Font Awesome CDN in site's functions file. As such, removed the FA CDN recently added in the plugin to avoid duplication.
