There are some commands, that are not binaries, eg.:

command
exit

If I want to run then, I get in the logfile:

'exception': "[Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'command'
'exception': "[Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'exit'

This is correct.

sh supports builtins like command/exit ssh normally runs things through sh and thus these are supported.

Authprogs runs the first argument as a literal command, expecting to find it in $PATH if it isn't explicitly listed. It does not run them through sh.

If you wanted to run things through shell you should be able to do so by explicitly running sh -c via ssh.

I find that if my remote command is doing anything fancy, especially running multiple things like a for loop, it is often easier to have a program on the remote side that runs these and you invoke it with whatever arguments you need. This avoids problems with shell quoting and the like, which SSH does not handle cleanly when a forced command is sent via authorized_keys entries.
