So, after familiarising myself a bit, it seems like this is pretty much what we need. Now that I have actually RTFM, it seems we can fetch the details we need and that the graph is pretty much complete for now.

What token/ETH would you like the bounty in @nanspro, and lmk which account I should send it to (avoiding Gitcoin 10% fees preferably, unless its really critical to you that you solve the issue through there for reputation)

Please let me know if you think this is fair? Budgets have been tightened a bit lately given all the volatility. Still thinking through the next backend stuff (which is really about removing the backend entirely). In the meantime, it might be worth studying up on https://subspace.status.im and letting me know if replacing MongoDB with subspace is something you think is doable for you 😉

Also i'll look into subspace meanwhile and will setup the backend locally to see what's going on. Could you give me a heads up on why we are using mongodb rn and also what is subspace?

We use Mongo for the "approvals" process. i.e. the "Highest Ranked" section comes directly from the contract with no interference from us. However, we want a balance between totally open/permissionless and actually providing our users with a good UX and some quality assurance i.t.o. what appears on the site. So, in order to appear in the "Recently Added" section + your chosen Category, you need to be "approved" (which means mobile-optimised, privacy-preserving and EIP-1102 compliant at least).

So, the idea would be to deploy an "approvals" contract instead (probably many of these down the line, with different controllers, and different requirements and then have a switch in the UI that users can set/pick themselves), and then manage the front-end entirely with subspace and ditch Mongo.

Does that make sense?
