This is really useful, thanks! I use it often, especially because of all the inflected forms.
One thing that would help a lot, is to have exact matches appear first in the search results list. This is a problem in particular for shorter words, where they are substrings of more-frequent longer words.

Thanks for the feedback! This is actually a bit painful to implement because of some very aggressive optimization on my end. You can actually search for exact matches by using double quotes (i.e. - https://dmklinger.github.io/ukrainian/#search?q=%22%D1%97%D1%97%22?s=freq)

I'll keep looking for a better fix though

This is a phenomenal resource - thank you for making it available!

I discovered the double quote method for getting exact matches. It would be great if other punctuation could be used as well. My Ukrainian keyboard overwrites both single and double quotes. I also lose the colon, semi-colon, square/curly brackets, pipe, backslash, plus and equals. Anything else would work: eg. /на/

I have forked this repo and have added that exact feature, among other things. See https://github.com/arudnitsky/dmklinger-ukrainian. Please be aware that I used Claude Opus 4.5 to do this. I'm not much of a JS programmer, but the option seems to work really well with what I'm using it for.

I discovered some issues with regenerating the dictionary data, though. I'm currently working on this and will put up a PR when I've got it straightened out.
