Game slows down as more cards are shown on screen

It seems the more cards shown on screen the slower the game feels and the cpu usage becomes higher.
For example when there are a lot of card on screen hovering over the cards feels laggy.
Lowering the TPS helps somewhat but doesn't fix the issue.

I did some more tests. The issue happens when all cards are shown on the screen.
If there is a scroll bar and some of the cards are not shown it's not as laggy.
