Description
Hi,
Is it possible to somehow improve the workflow with this tool?
Currently, when you start sharing, the PortionOfScreen window is brought to front automatically, and if you click, you get the how-to dialog about usage. That's a good idea when you use it for the first time, maybe, but not for regular usage.
When you start sharing, you then need to immediately go to taskbar and select another window so you can work. I forget to do this maybe 90% of time and the sharing session starts with unpleasant confusion on both sides, when I start shuffling window, minimize the PortionOfScreen window by accident (which automatically stops sharing) .... etc.
I have several suggestions:
a) Can we click through the window, instead of bringing up the how-to dialog? Essentially, we do not want a window, but a frame only, which can be used to be screen-shared with someone.
b) If not, can we at least make the window "hide itself" when brought to front? Somehow recognize the fact that the sharing has been initiated, so the window would travel to the very background of the screen and the other windows which are prepared in the shared screen area are immediately ready to be clicked at?
There is another tool, Region to Share, which does the workflow better, but uses way too much CPU and the shared region is always somewhat "off" to what the user has selected.
