Description
This application triples the value of vMIX, so I feel important to understand if this is a known bug (didn't see any known bug reports in Github). Here is the stage:
Vmix 28.0.043 running with UTC 2023 on a primary broadcasting device (windows 11) accessing perfectly through the local host (127.0.0.1:8088), zero issues. Two interfaces on that Machine, one dedicated for internet, one for the local network with a different IP range for NDI and LAN network chatter. A second machine sitting next to it only running vMix UTC 2023 (windows 10) for a back up director to control cameras and graphics. connected exclusively to that LAN only network. Everything has been running great for a year.
Then I upgraded the backup directors vMix UTC to the 9/11/25 version. When it loads, I can see the NDI sources running, however I noticed none of my button graphics loaded. Seeing I was still in a "yellow" sync state I started my own troubleshooting.
I won't bore you with all of that, but I can open a new empty project from the 9/11/25 version and it loads fine and gives me a "green" sync state. I can add widgets etc as if I were starting from scratch. But anytime I load that project that was built from the older version I get a yellow sync state and all sorts of issues.
I downgraded UTC on that device and the old project fired up correctly. I this a known issue or something new, or should I look at something else on my end?
During my troubleshooting, I put the project on a USB and installed 9/11/25 UTC on a laptop at home with Vmix on it. Fired up Vmix and tried to open the project. The splash screen came up and then went away, after a while (so long I forgot I opened it) it came up.... with a yellow sync state. I pressed the sync button and the device started acting very sluggish. So sluggish I had to end it in Task Manager. So this was repeated across three machines, on two networks that don't touch each other. Let me know if there's something you'd like me to try here to capture recent logs and I'm happy to send them.
