Frequent command execution freezes

Hi everyone,

I’m running vMix 4K version 29.0.0.36 on a Windows 10 computer, and on another Windows 10 PC I’m using vMix UTC version 07-11-2022. Everything has always worked fine with this setup — I’ve been using it for years without any issues.

Since vMix version 29 introduced some new features, I needed to update UTC to handle them. I tried updating UTC to the 30-10-2025 version, but I’m getting frequent freezes when executing commands. UTC hangs for several seconds (the duration varies), then unfreezes and continues working until the next freeze happens.

I also tested some earlier UTC versions, but the problem remains. Only when I go back to version 07-11-2022 does everything work normally again.

Has anyone experienced the same issue or know what I could try to fix it?

Hi, can you share controller? I think that's because I move from background timer to task.run, maybe I need make some other changes

What do you mean by ‘share the controller’? The .VMC file?

Hi, indeed the situation hasn’t changed. Now, as a final test, I’m building a new project and it seems to be working properly so far. I’ll give you more information once the project is completed.

Hi, Building a new project works perfectly. Both with the trial version you sent me and with the latest one release 30-10-2025.

I also encountered the same situation, so I completely uninstalled vMix UTC, deleted the C:\Documents\vMix UTC folder, and then started creating the project from scratch. After that, there were no issues. I think it might be because some parameters in vMix UTC are not universally compatible.

Ran into the same issue. A year ago, this exact same project worked correctly, even though it was noticeably more demanding.
