how to use DirectIO #1

Hello,
I would like to align the paper to the black mark (notch alignment). I think that I should have to use the directIO method to send a direct command to a Custom Kube II printer but I don't know how to use.
In the printer's manual I read that the command XON XOFF is 0x1D 0xF8 and in decimal format is 29 248.
I've tried printer.directIO(29, new int[]{248}, null); where printer is a POSPrinter object.
But it gives me an exception:
jpos.JposException: Wrong Paramethers (DirectIO Command Not Supported)
Can you help me, please?
