Ctrl+Shift+F4 doesn't work

Middle click on the tray icon seems to work as expected (monitor stays off)
Ctrl+Shift+F4> causes the monitor to go off, but come on again a couple seconds later. Neither the mouse nor the keyboard has been touched to cause this. (NB. I've noticed similar problems with other Monitor Off software, e.g. Sordum's, before)

That's quite strange. You're using the latest version (1.0.0.2), correct?

I had changed the code for that version so that it would trigger the monitor to turn off when they keys were released as opposed to when they're down. The reason I did that was because the system would interpret the release as activity and turn the monitor back on right after.

How quickly are you releasing the keys? Does it turn back on if you were to hold them all down at once and then quickly release them at the same time?

That makes it work; the monitor goes off and stays off. Thank you! Feels just a little weird, though...

I normally press the keys in the same sort of way I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, i.e. Ctrl (0.5s, hold), then Shift (0.5s, hold), then 1s while I reach over with my right hand and press F4. Normally, that's when I'd expect it to trigger, similar to Windows shortcuts like Alt + Shift + Tab. I normally press 3-key shortcuts with the same sort of rhythm.

You can continue to press them the same way, but when you release the hold, you should do it for all of the keys at the same time. The monitor isn't triggered to turn off when all three keys are down. It's when they're released that it triggers it. The reason for that is because if it triggered it while they were all down, then the moment you release the keys, Windows would detect that (the release) as activity and turn the monitor back on. So by having it trigger when the keys are released, there won't be any activity after and Windows won't turn the monitor back on.
