Firefox OK, Older Safari (5) won't close using the close class

Just checking my code but all looks well and it works on FF. My Safari browser does everything right but when I click the close nothing happens and no clicks are processed.

EDIT: The provided minified zip on google did not work for me. Re-minifed from original and all good. Still remains the issue with Safari not responding to the close using anchor tag and simplemodal-close class.

Any thoughts?
