Import statement causes "Fatal Error [getReports]: C:\<path>\app.js: Line 2: Unexpected Token"

I'm trying to get the Cyclomatic Complexity of a node.js app and the imports seem to be stopping reports from being generated. For reference, I'm using v16.13.0.
