Traceback coloring is off

This may have been caused by d018261

The symptom is that the traceback colors start off with one color, then switch seemingly for no reason. I have observed two cases:

1. On a debug-log, only the first line is using the "debug-color":
   
2. When using highlighted lines, the text is white up to the highlighted section, then uses the highlight color, and switches to the traceback color next. The initial white text should also use the highlight color (I have no screenshot for that atm).

Both cases may be closely related.
