How I get my best work done:
In-Person or via a video-call to arrange tasks before then a period of solitary work so that I can complete my tasks. I am also happy to work through messages but it is my second preference.
The role I usually take in a team:
I love to be the communicator - I find a team works best when everyone has full transparency on what each member is doing to help.
My communication style:
Open - Love to speak in-person or via a video call; I always enjoy putting a name to a face rather than speaking to a blank screen.
What I value:
Quality over quantity and open thinking. I have learnt through my coding journey that there are several ways to reach the end goal and exposure to as many avenues as possible is great for growth.
What people misunderstand about me:
That people from the North of England are slow and have a closed mindset. My Yorkshire accent doesn't help!
How I like to get my feedback:
Firstly through speaking and then in written form as leaves me with nothing to forget during our conversation.
Technical strengths & weaknesses:
Very logical thinker and systematic in my approach. I love learning languages too!
A weakness I have is becoming frustrated with myself - Due to the continuous learning involved with coding, I can sometimes be overwhelmed and forget coding methods that I am already familiar with.
Interests (programming or otherwise!):
Language learning - I speak French and am learning Russian at King's Evening Language Classes.
I also love to cycle and am usually found on my bike!
