openFEC API UX audit #132
Description
What we're after:
As a result of some API issues experienced in March, we identified a need to conduct a UX audit of the openFEC API and explore opportunities to improve the experience for low, moderate, and high-usage API users. The degree of use and frequency can greatly impact their experience as there are different areas of our data that is better in different circumstances.
Steps:
- Conduct user interviews to identify common areas of delight and points of pain
- Synthesize interviews to identify:
- Problem statements and hypotheses
- Make design recommendations
- additional research recommendations
- Present prelimary results to team ^
- Open followup tickets based on priorities
