Can we run wp batch process via WP CLI? #22

I am currently working with a custom plugin where I need to process a large volume of OCR documents (approximately 15 GB). The process is taking a considerable amount of time, and I would like to explore options for speeding it up, specifically by running the batch process via WP CLI commands.
Additionally, I have been attempting to extend the WP_Batch class within my custom plugin, but I am encountering issues where it is not functioning as expected.
Could you kindly provide guidance or documentation on how I can properly implement the wp-batch-processor in my custom plugin? This would significantly help me on development.
