Milestone
Description
Description
Our assumption now is that placement map will be primarily used when users are placing a point at a location other than their current position. In this context, the “Get location” overlay is less relevant and can be confusing.
To maintain discoverability and guidance, we will:
- Remove the “Get location” overlay button from the placement map UI
- The user will see the world map, like with shape/trace
- And see a snackbar message: “Use the location button to center on your location", to guide if they are unsure how to find their current location
- Later on we want to add search

User Stories
As a data collector using the placement map,
I want a simpler map interface without the “Get location” overlay button,
so that the map is optimized for manually finding and placing points, rather than centering on my current location.
