Are the files from the drag-sort-listview library being actively changed for this project? If not, I made a JAR of the classes the project is using from that library. If we add that to the repo ({workspace}/{project}/libs/drag-sort-listview_library.jar) and add an instruction in the README about adding it to the build path when you set the project up, it might be easier than downloading the source for the library and going through their build procedure.

No they are not being changed.
Go ahead and add the jar to the repo and add it to your build path. if it compiles shoot me a pull request and ill check it out. I like that plan.

Adding the JAR resolves all of the errors in the project related to that library.

Next problem I've got: hundreds of references to com.ghsoft.treetask.R, which doesn't exist when you first set the project up.

Edit: All of the errors are in com.ghsoft.treetaskapp - com.ghsoft.treetask has no errors at this point.

try to clean the project. R is a class that is auto generated.
R is only referenced in treetaskapp because its android specific. the com.ghsoft.treetask is the API packaged and is not platform specific.

R is basically An ORM for the XML resources. It maps the XML layouts into java code you can interact with.

Thanks, that should help. It looks like it's a problem with trying to use the JAR from the XML resources, but there may not be a workaround for it.

From what I've seen Googling around, am Android library with resources can't be exported as a JAR - it's just a known deficiency. Everything compiled after I added it as a library, though. It was worth a shot to take out another step in the install process. I'll write up more detailed installation instructions and see about playing with the code a bit.

It compiles - fighting with AVD to get a emulator to try running it, but no errors at least.

I always debug on my phone.
