Frequency of updates to Docker image used?

Was just wondering how and when the Docker image running for the backend of any language gets updated?

At the moment it's a manual process and one of the next things i want to do is to automate it. I have skimmed the documentation for automated builds at docker hub and it looks like it's possible to trigger a build every time the base image changes. The next step would then be to pull the image and do a couple of test runs to ensure that the image still works before enabling it into production.

Thanks for the info and your transparency Petter. I guess the issue is you aren't using the images from docker hub directly, but inheriting from them with the extra glot user environment setup. Do you already have some tests that are agnostic of the language, or should I write some for the Perl 6 container?
