Version 1.7 kills Win 8.1 to complete inoperability #96
Description
Yesterday I tried to install version 1.7 on Windows 8.1 (x64), and it crashed my system so much that I had to reinstall it. I have a licensed Windows and this behavior was, to put it mildly, surprising to me 😡.
I didn't see any warning about this anywhere, so I think it's worth writing about it at least here.
Now I'm not sure that I should install any of the versions on this system.
There is no need to suggest me to update Windows: I have specific software on this PC that doesn't work on the 10\11.
