paper-input as read-only field material design

Hi
I have a design issue.
What is the best way to display read-only fields.

variant 1:

--> with paper-input fields in disabled mode but with custom styling (without transparency)

variant 2:

--> without paper-input and change view (view with paper-input fields in edit mode) if user clicks on pencil

Or do you have another suggestion?
