MineOS trying to contact "alt4.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com" and effectively DDOSing me.

MineOS is trying to contact gmail servers? And it will do this so often that it floods our DNS server and will DDOS us temporarily.

Does anyone know why it would need to contact gmail?

I'm using MineOS Turnkey. I have installed new java versions when needed but thats it.
